Our editorial team tests every AI tool hands-on. We are not affiliated with any of the platforms we review. We pay for subscriptions ourselves when a free review account is not available, and we disclose clearly when one has been provided by the platform.
Censorship Freedom
How uncensored is the tool across a full session? We run a standardized set of prompts — escalating from mild to explicit — and score based on how far a session can go before filters interrupt or refuse. We test this after 50+ messages too, not just the first few.
Roleplay Depth
Does the AI stay in character? Does it remember plot details and relationship context across a session? We test narrative consistency, character voice, long-session memory, and how it handles complex multi-turn storylines.
Value for Money
What do you actually get per dollar? We compare message limits, feature gating, free tier generosity, billing clarity, and cancellation ease. Hidden fees and aggressive upsells penalize this score significantly.
Privacy & Safety
Does the platform support anonymous sign-up? Is billing discreet? Do they clearly state how long conversation data is retained? Do they enforce age verification and prohibit non-consensual content? We read the actual privacy policy.
Image & Video Quality
For platforms with generation features, we produce a standardized set of outputs and evaluate realism, prompt adherence, consistency, and speed. Text-only platforms have this dimension excluded from their average.

Fresh account — no prior history
We create a brand new account for every review. We never test a tool we've already been using, because onboarding experience, default filter settings, and first-session quality differ from returning users. This reflects the experience of someone finding the tool for the first time.

Minimum 7 days of use before scoring
We use every tool for at least 7 days across varied session lengths — short tests, long roleplay sessions, and return visits after 24+ hours to check memory and context retention. Tools that seem great in a first session but degrade over time score lower on roleplay depth.

Standardized 12-prompt censorship test
We run the same 12 prompts across every tool — from mild flirtation through explicit content to dark fantasy scenarios. This lets us compare censorship behavior on an apples-to-apples basis rather than relying on platform claims.

Pricing verification — we go through checkout
We verify: is the advertised price what you actually pay? Are there hidden charges? Is the cancellation process easy to find? Do promotional prices auto-renew at full price without clear disclosure? We flag discrepancies between marketing copy and reality.

Privacy policy and ToS review
We read the privacy policy and terms of service for every tool we list: what data is collected, how long conversations are retained, whether data is used for model training, and whether the platform bans content involving minors and non-consensual scenarios.

Retesting after major platform changes
NSFW AI platforms change rapidly — filter policies shift overnight, pricing restructures, and quality varies with model updates. We retest when we receive user reports or a major update is announced. Retested scores show a "Retested [month year]" date on the tool page.

The last row is not a standard pass/fail. Any tool that generates sexual content involving characters under 18 is immediately removed from the directory and will not be re-listed.

🚫 Content involving minors
Any tool that generates sexual content involving characters under 18 — regardless of fictional framing — will not be listed and is removed if discovered after listing.
🚫 Non-consensual nudification of real people
We don't list tools whose primary use case is generating intimate imagery of real, identifiable individuals without consent. This includes "undress AI" tools that accept photo uploads of real people.
🚫 Deceptive billing practices
Tools that advertise a price that doesn't reflect what users actually pay — hidden fees, aggressive token upsells, undisclosed auto-renewing promotions — are not listed until the issue is resolved.
🚫 No meaningful age verification
Adult AI platforms should have age verification or at minimum a clear age gate. Platforms with no mechanism to restrict under-18 access are excluded from the directory.
