Why we vet before listing
Listing a tool in this directory is an endorsement. So we don't list tools we wouldn't trust with our own data โ we vet first, and we keep the ones that don't clear the bar out.
The NSFW AI space moves fast and is uneven on safety. Some tools have clear privacy policies, honest data-retention practices, and real age gates. Others have none of those things. A directory that lists everything just amplifies whatever marketing each tool publishes about itself. We'd rather be smaller and trustworthy.
This standard is the bar a tool has to clear to appear here at all. It doesn't measure how good a tool is at its job โ that's what our individual reviews and rankings are for. It measures one thing: whether a tool handles consent, minors, your data, and your money responsibly.
We earn affiliate commissions from some listed tools. That relationship never changes whether a tool clears the bar. The criteria below are applied identically to tools that pay us and tools that don't โ and a tool we could profit from still gets left out if it fails.
What every listed tool clears
Before a tool is added to the directory, we check it against six requirements. Every tool you see listed has met them. The first two โ protecting minors and preventing non-consensual content โ are non-negotiable; a tool that fails either is never listed.
The six things we check
1. Age & minor protection
The most important check, and a requirement we never waive.
- A functioning age gate on entry and an 18+ (or stricter, where required) terms requirement.
- The age-verification method used โ self-attestation is weak; payment-card or third-party verification is stronger.
- Stated systems for detecting and blocking content that depicts or implies minors, plus a reporting route.
2. Consent & non-consensual content
Whether the tool can be used to sexualize a real, identifiable person without their consent โ and what stops that.
- A clear, published ban on non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) of real people.
- Technical safeguards: blocking uploads of real faces/photos, refusing named public figures, watermarking, or consent attestation.
- A takedown and reporting process for anyone targeted.
3. Data privacy & retention
What happens to your chats, images, and account data.
- A privacy policy that actually states what is collected and why.
- A defined retention period and a working way to delete your data and account.
- Whether data is sold or shared with third parties, and whether content is used to train models.
4. Security
How well the tool protects the data it holds.
- HTTPS everywhere; encryption of stored content where claimed and verifiable.
- Account protections such as strong-password enforcement or 2FA.
- Any history of breaches โ and, just as important, how the operator responded.
5. Billing discretion
Whether paying is private and fair.
- Discreet, non-explicit billing descriptors on card statements.
- Clear pricing and refund terms; no hidden auto-renew or cancellation traps.
- Reputable payment processors rather than opaque intermediaries.
6. Policy transparency
Can a user actually find and understand the rules?
- Terms of service and privacy policy that are linked, current, and readable.
- An identifiable operator or company behind the tool, with a contact route.
What we don't list
The bar only means something if things can fall below it. Some failures keep a tool out automatically, no matter how good the product is or whether there's money on the table. We don't list a tool if it:
Automatic exclusions
- Permits, generates, or facilitates any sexual content depicting minors. This is also reported to the appropriate authorities.
- Allows nudifying or sexualizing a real, identifiable person without any consent safeguard.
- Has no functioning age gate or 18+ enforcement of any kind.
- Offers no way to delete your data, or has an unresolved breach it never disclosed or fixed.
These aren't offset by a great product elsewhere. A tool can be the best in its category on every other measure and still be left out โ and some have been.
Undress, nudify & deepnude tools
The hard line
Generating intimate imagery of a real, identifiable person without their consent is illegal in a growing number of jurisdictions and causes serious, lasting harm. We won't list a tool that enables it.
Image tools are held to a higher bar than the rest of the directory. To be listed at all, one must demonstrate meaningful safeguards.
For any tool capable of generating nude or sexual imagery from an uploaded photo, we specifically check whether it:
- Blocks or refuses uploads of real, identifiable people, or requires consent attestation for the person depicted.
- Detects and refuses images that appear to depict minors.
- Restricts named public figures and celebrities.
- Provides a fast takedown route for anyone targeted.
Tools that offer no such safeguards are not listed, full stop.
How we check
Our assessment is based on first-hand checks, not vendor claims alone. For each tool we review the live product and account flow, read the current terms and privacy policy in full, test the age gate and (where relevant) upload restrictions, inspect billing descriptors on real transactions where possible, and search for any public record of breaches or regulatory action.
Where a claim can't be verified โ for example, a tool says it encrypts stored data but gives no detail โ we treat it as unverified rather than taking it at face value, and an unverified safeguard doesn't count in a tool's favour.
Every listing records the date it was last assessed. Listings are re-reviewed at least every six months, and immediately whenever a tool changes its privacy policy or content rules, or a breach is reported.
Report a tool or request a review
If you believe a listed tool is unsafe, mishandles data, or is being used to target real people without consent, tell us. If you operate a tool and want it reviewed โ or re-reviewed after making changes โ you can request that at any time; reviews don't depend on any commercial relationship.
Reach us through the contact page. Reports involving content that may depict minors are escalated immediately and reported to the appropriate authorities.
Frequently asked questions
Are all the tools listed here vetted?
Yes. Every tool in the directory has cleared the six checks above before being listed. If a tool doesn't meet them, it isn't listed.
Does paying you for affiliate placement get a tool listed?
No. Commercial relationships don't affect whether a tool clears the bar. A tool we could earn from still gets left out if it fails the standard.
Do you really turn tools away?
Yes โ tools with no age gate, no way to delete your data, or no safeguards against targeting real people don't get listed, regardless of how good the product is.
What is your policy on content depicting minors?
Zero tolerance. Any tool that permits, generates, or facilitates sexual content involving minors is excluded and reported. Nothing offsets this.
How do you handle undress or deepnude tools?
Generating intimate imagery of a real, identifiable person without consent is a hard line. Image tools must show safeguards โ blocking real-person uploads, refusing minors and named public figures, and offering takedowns โ to be listed at all.
How current are the assessments?
Each listing shows its last-assessed date. We re-review at least every six months and sooner if a tool changes its policies or a breach is reported.
